Lock Haven and the Dream Deferred | The Souls of Black Baseball | Dreamsdeferred.org
Welcome to Dreamsdeferred.org.

This website is dedicated to those whose place has often been denied them in the past, whose dreams have been deferred, and whose voices have gone for a time unheard.

Through the oral history work of Dr. Bob Allen and other researchers of like mind, we will present here the histories, lives, and voices of American workers and their unique perspective on their own working lives and the nation they work in.

We will also offer unique stories and autobiographies of Americans who endured, survived, and overcame the period of Jim Crow, segregated America, as they played the sport they loved: the Negro League players of America’s pastime.

In the future the site will grow to include other histories and voices.

For now we offer the voices of:

Lock Haven and the Dream Deferred

The Souls of Black Baseball: Voices from the Field of Dreams Deferred
